#1 H.O.P.E. in Her Eyes

For the last two consecutive International Women’s Days, Her International has partnered with HOPE Outreach in Kelowna, BC for an event to raise awareness, funding and hope for marginalized women in both Canada and Nepal.

This sold out event offers attendees eye-gazing, art auctions, and stories of bravery and courage as women rise from marginalized positions and succeed in thriving.

The benefit has raised over $41,000 to support women locally and globally with 50% of the proceeds staying in Canada and 50% going to Nepal.

Hero Starts with Her are 1/2 day workshops that incorporate global awareness and leadership with self confidence building activities like mindfulness and self-defence.

The workshops are designed to connect and empower girls right here in Canada.

#3 Mentor training program (Okanagan)

Our pilot program of Mentor the Mentors is in partnership with the Karis Support Society. This mentor training course will train volunteers who would like to work with at-risk women.

Mentoring provides women and girls who are in a difficult place in their lives with someone to help them through the struggles they are facing and guide them towards a hopeful future. The training will teach participants to deliver personalized, effective care while maintaining safe boundaries.

#4 hero girls (canada)

Hero Girls is currently in it’s pilot stage in Nepal and will be brought to Canada in 2020. Stay tuned.
